The subject specializes in manufacturing and trading beer with brand name of HEINEKEN. Besides, it supports parent company – HEINEKEN VIETNAM BREWERY LIMITED COMPANY in distributing and developing other brands like Desperados, Tiger, Tiger Crystal, Larue Export, Larue Blue. In 2016, the subject received license for expanding factory in Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province. The company endeavors to increase production capacity up to 610 million liters per year. According to public information, this factory has increased investment capital from USD 312.5 million to USD 381.3 million.Currently, the subject is one of the beer brands occupying a big market share in Vietnam. SABECO and HEINEKEN are two most recognizable brands in domestic customers. Nevertheless, its competition is quite fierce when other competitors have invested new factory in Vietnam. In 2020, ANHEUSER – BUSCH INBEV – a leading company in beer industry also invests USD 250 million to produce Budweiser and Hoegaarden beers in Vietnam.Beer industry relished fast growth in 2019. Typically, total beer production amounted more than 5 billion liters (up 22.9% compared with 2018). Total consumption reached more than 4 billion liters (up 29.1%). Meanwhile, many beer producers suffered from a decline in output consumption from 40% to 50% in first months of 2020 under detrimental impact of COVID 19 and Decree 100 (related to increasing sanctions against road traffic and rail transport violations).
