The subject belongs to ecosystem of Hoa Phat group when this group penetrated the agricultural sector by launching its parent company in 2015. Later, to expand animal feed production to the south, the group has built a second animal feed factory in Dong Nai (Hoa Phat Dong Nai Feeds). In 2016, the group restructured the investment portfolio in relevant to Hoa Phat Dong Nai Feeds. For example, in that year, the group established Hoa Phat Agriculture Development JSC to manage and co-ordinate the operations of all subsidiaries in the agriculture sector (including feed). Thus, Hoa Phat Hung Yen Feeds Limited Liability Company became its direct investor.HOA PHAT GROUP JOINT STOCK COMPANY – ultimate parent company's shares are listed on HOSE under stock code “HPG” whose major shareholders were Mr. Tran Dinh Long – 26.08%, Dragon Capital Vietfund Management – 8%, Ms. Vu Thi Hien (Mr. Long's wife) – 7.34% in July 2023. Additionally, Mr. Long indirectly and directly has 35.1% of HPG's interest through relatives. He is a senior director of the group and has influence on the group's policies.The group is a multi-industry corporation, running the operations in five sectors: iron & steel, steel products, agriculture, real estate and home appliances. Steel production is the core, accounting for 90% of the group's revenue and profit while agriculture segment contributes 5% and 1% to the Group's consolidated revenue and profit after tax, respectively. Especially, this segment's revenue reduced from 9% in 2015 to 5% in 2023. Meanwhile, it is operating in agriculture segment (i.e., its parent company is one of this segment's key companies). In addition, the group's vision is to become an industrial manufacturer with top quality in the core area of steel. This shows an indication of its rather modest position in the group's investment portfolio. To improve product quality and to ensure to provide consumers with the best products, the group simultaneously aimed to develop 3F chain (Feed – Farrm – Food) in agricultural segment.
