Established and operating under license No. 02/GP-NHNN, Mizuho Bank, Ltd. - Ho Chi Minh City Branch is currently operating under Operating License No. 40/GP-NHNN issued by the State Bank of Vietnam on 19 Mar 2019.Mizuho Bank, Ltd. - Ho Chi Minh City Branch is a member of Mizuho Financial Group, one of the global financial groups with the largest number of customers in Japan, and owns an extensive international network. In the banking sector, Mizuho is a shareholder and strategic partner of Vietcombank, one of the largest banks in Vietnam.The products of this bank branch are mainly loan packages, commercial investment for domestic enterprises and individuals. This bank branch is also available to guarantee project bids or contracts, guarantee payment on demand, domestic factoring, and take loan entrustment. In addition, this bank branch also has other products such as domestic and international payments in a short time, creation of business  and personal savings and payment accounts, etc. By the end of 2021, there were about 2,000 Japanese enterprises in Vietnam that had transactions with Mizuho.At the end of 2021, Nikkei reported an investment of YEN 20 billion (USD 170 million) of Mizuho to buy a 7.5% stake in M-Service, the owner of the MOMO e-wallet.
