Nghi Son Cement Corporation (Vietnam)

Nghi Son Cement Corporation is a joint venture between Vietnam National Cement Corporation (VICEM) and NM Cement Co., Ltd (NMCC) in Japan of which the foreign sponsor has 65% ownership. Its main activity is to manufacture and supply cement products. Founded in 1995, the subject's factory officially went into operation in 2000, which expanded the second production line in 2007, having completed since Apr 2010, raising the total capacity of the factory to 4.3 million tons per year. Besides the production facility in Thanh Hoa Province, it has offices in Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City, having distribution terminals in Hau Giang and Khanh Hoa Province to distribute products all over the country. Its products are not only consumed in the domestic market but also exported overseas. As introduced, Nghi Son Cement Corporation operates a fleet of 06 specialized cement carriers of 10,000 - 20,000 DWT (85,000 DWT in total) and 02 tugboats with engines of 3,200 HP & 1,060 HP respectively. It also has a specialized jetty having the ability to receive vessels of up to 35,000 DWT. The subject is considered as one of the biggest cement manufacturers in Vietnam. Its main project has a huge registered investment capital of USD 621,917,000. In addition, it has component projects. From mass media, it is stated to have total investment capital of around USD 700 million, which might include the main project and component projects.
