Established in 2006 in Can Tho City, the subject is specialized in processing frozen pangasius fish products like pangasius fillets, pangasius loins, pangasius nuggets ... The subject proactively controls input materials sources like pangasius fish via owning fish farms. Products are mainly exported to foreign markets for consumption. The company meets international standards such as HACCP, BRC, IFS, ISO 22000, ISO 14000… According to the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP), total seafood exports in 2022 reached about USD 11 billion, up 23.6% over the same period in 2021. It is estimated that in the first 5 months of 2023, the total seafood export value reached 3.47 billion USD, down 25.9% over the same period last year. Besides, the price of input materials increased to a record and higher than countries like India and Ecuador by 20-30%, reducing the competitiveness of Vietnamese seafood. World consumption trends are focusing on products that are healthy, environmentally friendly and promote the circular economy. Therefore, the seafood industry needs to develop according to a green economic model, focusing on sustainable farming, such as the model of rice shrimp, wild shrimp, etc. to create sustainable farming products to convince world customers. On the other hand, it is necessary to focus on processing new products from by-products, increasing the competitiveness of Vietnamese seafood.
