The subject is a joint venture between SAIGON NEWPORT ONE MEMBER LIMITED LIABILITY CORPORATION (Vietnam), WAN HAI LINES, LTD (Taiwan, China) and two Japanese companies including ITOCHU CORPORATION and MITSUI O.S.K LINES, LTD. It was established in 2011 and started operations from 2018. It is considered as the largest deep-water container port in North Vietnam, which is capable of receiving ships with a tonnage of up to 14,000 TEUs with direct service routes to the Americas and Europe.According to media source, in 2020, the subject welcomed more than 400 ships, throughput reached 653,944 TEUs (increased by 56% against 2019), cargo handling capacity reached over 150 containers per hour, the highest in the North. In the first two months of 2021, the port received 74 ships, throughput 126,284 TEU container, raised 19 ships and 23,937 TEU containers compared to the first two months of 2020.In 2022, the company strives for the throughput of goods through the port to achieve over 899,000 TEUs, the total revenue is VND 1,420 billion, went up by 44%, and pre-tax profit is VND 360 billion, soared by 46% compared to 2021.In general, the subject company's prospect seems bright.
