Besides, it operates in finance, securities, real estate and other projects with a view to recover the investment capital for infrastructure projects.The Hanoi - Hai Phong Expressway is a BOT (Build- Operate- Transfer) project that had tended 105.5 km from Hanoi to Hai Phong City. It was 6-lane highway with total average width 100 m. The project was stared to build since Feb 2009 and started operating since Dec 2015 with total investment capital of about VND 45.487 billion (over USD 2 billion). As plan, the subject was allowed to operate this highway for around 35 years (since 2015) before transferring to the state.In the beginning, the subject had the huge strength in term of finance and was backed by its big shareholders (two banks and one company). The operation still witnesses large losses and negative owner's equity in these days but it is believed to improve in long term.
