Vietnam Bank For Agriculture And Rural Development (Vietnam)

Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank) is a leading commercial bank in Vietnam. It was established in 1988 and has since played a key role in implementing monetary policies and supporting the growth of agriculture and rural areas. Agribank is the only commercial bank in Vietnam in which the State holds 100% of the charter capital. It has nearly 2,300 branches and transaction offices across the country, with a workforce of around 40,000 employees. Agribank's total assets reached VND 1,398,110 billion as of September 30, 2019. The bank focuses on providing convenient banking products and services, with over 200 offerings, to improve access to banking services, especially in agriculture and rural areas. Agribank also actively contributes to social security support and has received recognition and awards for its achievements in serving agriculture, farmers, and rural economic development. In 2019, Agribank received the highest rating for commercial banks in Vietnam from Moody's Investors Service. The bank is currently implementing its business strategy for the period 2016-2020 and aims to maintain its leading position in the agricultural and rural financial market.
