Air Serbia is the Serbian national air carrier, established in 1947 as successor of Aeroput. The company has been a member of IATA since 1961 and of AEA since 1971. It was previously named Yugoslav Airlines (JAT). In 2013, the national airline of the UAE Etihad Airways acquired a 49% share in Jat Airways, and it was re-branded to Air Serbia.
