Dijamant is Serbia’s largest cooking oil producer, based in the northern Serbian province of Vojvodina.
Apart from sunflower oil, the company manufactures margarines, mayonnaise and sauces for direct consumption, as well as industrial fats, emulgators and additives.
In June 2007,
Dijamant successfully completed its takeover bid for flour producer Kikindski Mlin, boosting its stake in the company to 79.6% from 49.8% previously held.
The oil producer filed a takeover bid for 50.2% stake in Kikindski mlin in May 2007, offering to pay RSD 16,800 per share, or a total EUR 3.4 million, but it managed to acquire 29.8% of the flour mill’s shares.
Dijamant, listed on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, is majority-owned by Croatian retail group Agrokor trough its subsidiaries - South East EI Fund and Sadra.
In 2010, the company increased its stake in Kikindski Mlin to 75%.
