FACTORY OF BREAD AND MILK SURDULICA was built in 1984 as a working unit of PTK Vlasina Produkt Surdulica.
From May 15, 1992, FABRIKA HLEBA I MILKA SURDULICA operates as an independent socially-owned enterprise by allocating from PTK VLASINA PRODUKT Surdulica.
The Company has made a change in the ownership of the social capital-transformation of the social enterprise into a joint-stock company on June 29, 2001. According to the Law on Ownership Transformation, where 60 of the capital was paid to employees, while 40 was transferred to the State, or to the Share Fund.
15.05.2003. According to the system, the minimum price-minimal quantity, the majority shareholder share of 54.84 was sold on the Belgrade Stock Exchange at the price of 6.000,00 dinars per share.
The buyer of the mentioned package of shares is IRVA CONSTRUCTION, INVESTMENT AND INZENJERING DOO BELGRADE, owned by Mr. Djordje Nicovic.
The main activity of the company is production of bread and pastry, which is being sold in the municipalities of Vranje, Vranjska Banja, Vladicin Han and Surdulica. The same municipalities are supplied with milk and dairy products. In these municipalities there are over 350 customers. Some of the buyers are of vital national importance: the army, hospitals, schools, kindergartens and interns that regularly and on time supply 15 specialized vehicles every day.
The capacity of the tunnel oven for baking bread is 40,000 units of all types of bread per day, 5,000kg of pastry, while the capacity of the dairy is 10,000 liters a day.
As a part of the company s activity in 2003, the production of bark was opened.
The Company has 5 retail facilities in Surdulica, two of which work as a dairy restaurant with its own production.
The quality control of products is regularly performed by ZZZ Vranje and Veterinary Institute Nis.
It should be noted that the AD Bread and Milk Factory Surdulica is a long-standing participant in food fairs throughout the country, where the Novosad Food Fair is to be highlighted, where gold medals and awards for quality have been awarded several times.
Currently, the company has a production plant for the production of bread with two tunnel ovens, a baking plant, a bark plant, a dairy with 250 cooperators from 10 villages, the production of pastries and burek in two dairy restaurants in the city and three specialized stores.
All these jobs are performed by 82 workers
The Company'share has been listed in The Belgrade Stock Exchange under the symbol FHMS since April, 7th 2003. The company is headquartered in SURDULICA.
