Smederevska Palanka - based "Opeka" manufactures bricks, tiles and construction products. The company reached production of 1.5 mln. untits monthly, which is increase for 20% comparing with previous years. Last year Opeka invested EUR 6 mln. into the new production facillity and installing a new automated equipment.
Majority owners of Opeka became the Croat construction industry "Slavonija" from Nasice and Belgrade "Ferbild" construction enterprise after acquiring 59% stake for EUR 3 mln. The another owner Republic Fund still haven't been iniciated privatization of its 35.15% stake. Employees remain to hold only 5.85% shares.
