Doncafe Group was established in 1992. In 2003 the company signed a strategic partnership with Israeli food and beverage company Strauss Ltd.
Strauss bought full control of the Serbian coffee maker in 2005. The company has invested some EUR 60 million in its Serbian business until the end of 2007.
Doncafe, which sells whole bean and ground coffee under the brands of Doncafe and C Kafa, reported an operating profit of EUR 4.3 million for 2007 and increased its market share by 5.0% to 35%. The company posted an income of EUR 49.7 million for the same period.
In 2007, the coffee manufacturer invested EUR 10 million in the construction of a new factory.
The company, which employs some 330 people, plans to reach a 40% share on the domestic market in 2008.
Doncafe was renamed into Strauss Adriatic in the first quarter of 2008, as a result of the global consolidation strategy of its owner.
