Sojaprotein, which was set up in 1978, is one of the leading soy processing companies in Eastern Europe. It processes annually about 300,000 tons of soy.
The company produced soybean in the area of 80,000 hectares.
Majority shareholder in Becej's Sojaprotein is privately owned company Viktorija, a consortium of domestic firms which paid EUR 22 million for the share package. Other shares are owned by small shareholders.
In 2007, the company was listed on A segment of the local stock exchange.
The processing capacity of Sojaprotein A.D. has doubled between 2002 and 2012.
