Vode Vojvodine J.P. Novi Sad (Serbia)

The public water management company Vode Vojvodine is active in the area of AP Vojvodina, covering 21.506 sq. km and about 2.000.000 inhabitants. The company is engaged in water supply (industrial water supply, irrigation, supply for the population), water quality protection and protection against flood.
In 2009 Vode Vojvodine signed a contract with the Slovenian Litostroj Power for technical cooperation in modernizing and maintainance of tehcnology and equipment in Vojvodina company.
At the end of 2009, Vode Vojvodine became a partner in an interstate project for the establishment of a Center for control of drought in Southeast Europe, which will improve the readiness for the drought and decrease its bad effects.
Vode Vojvodine together with the Novi Sad Municipality invested RSD 7.8 million each in the cleaning of drainage channels on the territory of Kovilj, Kac and Budisava, near Novi Sad at the end-2009.
In 2011 the company invested RSD 450 million in reconstruction of the canal network in the Serbian municipalities of Nova Crnja, Zitiste, Sečanj, Zrenjanin and Kikinda.
