Zitopek DP was founded in 1947 as an enterprise for production and distribution of bread and pastries in the Nis municipality. The company's production is focused primarily on bread and bread related products. Zitopek has also developed the production of pastries and confectionary products. There are 179 different products in Zitopek’s product range. Zitopek is a major supplier of such products to the city of Nis and the surrounding area (total of 700,000 inhabitants). According to the estimates, Zitopek controls 70% of the bread market and 40% of the pastries market in the area. It owns 22 modern retail shops. Zitopek produces over 30 million loaves of bread annually. Current capacity utilization is 60%.
