The Company produces a range of refined carbohydrate products from sugarcane and maize, with a number of products being interchangeable. It manufactures a range of products, from unmodified maize starch to refined glucose products, which are ingredients for manufacturers of foodstuff, beverages and a range of industrial products.
The Company was incorporated in 1919 when the Tongaat Group Limited merged with Huletts Corporation Limited.
The Company was listed on JSE limited on 11 March 1952 and on London Stock Exchange (LSE) in 1939.
The Company changed its name from (Tongaat-Hulett Group Limited) to (Tongaat Hulett Limited) on 25 June 2007.
The Company was listed Suspended on 10 June 2019
The Company s Financial year-end changed to March 31, 2010 from December 31, 2010.
The Company s shares were listed on Frankfurt Stock Exchange on May 23, 2011.
