According to the Monthly Trade Survey (PMC) published by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), retail sales volumes declined 0.3% m/m in September 2025, following a marginal 0.1% increase in August. The three-month moving average, which compares the average sales volume of the latest three months with that of the immediately preceding three-month period, remained broadly stable, edging down 0.1%, signalling limited short-term momentum.
