The automotive production increased by 8.8% y/y to 8.2mn units. Output of passenger cars and commercial vehicles went up by 7.3% y/y and 16.3% y/y, respectively. The sales of motor vehicles in China were 8.2mn units in Q4 2020, representing an increase of 10.5% compared to the same period in the previous year. Both the commercial vehicle and passenger car subsectors saw a notable increase year-on-year, where sales jumped by 15.8% and 9.4% respectively.
