Colombia's infrastructure sector demonstrated a clear recovery in 2024 which consolidated with a moderate expansion in 2025, following the contraction observed in 2023. The rebound was primarily driven by transport concessions under the 4G and 5G programmes and by the continued deployment of renewable energy projects within the electricity sector. Gross value added (GVA) data confirm the improvement. Electricity GVA expanded by 2.49% in 2024 and by 1.14% in 2025, reflecting sustained renewable generation additions and transmission investments. Meanwhile, construction GVA grew by 7% in 2024, and accelerated to 8.25% in 2025, supported by road corridor upgrades, airport concessions, and public works.
