The Polish construction and real estate sector accounted for 11.6% of the country's GDP in 2024, generating PLN 420.8bn in gross value added in current prices and employing 1.2mn people. Construction and assembly output reached PLN 160.8bn in 2023 (last data available as of mid-2025), reflecting a 12.7% y/y growth, although real growth remained flat due to persistent inflationary pressure. The civil engineering segment, supported by ongoing public infrastructure projects, was the main growth contributor, while the residential segment continued to recover from the credit shock of 2022. Meanwhile, the real estate sector saw positive shifts in the residential market, with transaction volumes and prices rising again, although other subsegments such as office and warehouse assets are experiencing a market correction. While Warsaw remains the dominant hub, regional cities such as Kraków, Wrocław, and the Tri-City area continue to attract development activity.
