Chinese auto players – including Great Wall, Haval, Geely and Chery – have recently entered the market to grasp a market share. Russian brands accounted for 21% of new car sales in Russia in 2020, while foreign brands assembled or produced in the country taking a 63% share. Imported passenger cars were equivalent to 16% of total domestic sales.
