MBAL - Higya AD is a private hospital located in Pazardzhik, Bulgaria. It was incorporated in 1991 with self-funding and bank loans. Despite initial skepticism, Professor Spiridonov was determined to prove that private initiative in healthcare is beneficial for better and higher quality healthcare. In July 2021, MBAL - Higya celebrated its 30th anniversary, having established itself as a trusted medical institution. The hospital is certified with ISO and accredited with the highest rating of "Excellent" by the Ministry of Health for its overall medical activities, as well as for its facilities and opportunities for practical training of students and specialists. MBAL - Higya AD is a full member of the Bulgarian Hospital Association, the European Union of Private Hospitals, and the Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria (KRIB).
