BHG S.A. Brazil Hospitality Group, located in Rio de Janeiro, is the largest owner of hotel real estate assets in Brazil. The company was formed in 2009 through the merger of LA Hotels, owned by GP Investimentos, and Invest Tur, a hotel industry company, becoming the third-largest hotel chain in Brazil. In 2014, BHG stopped operating on the stock exchange and became controlled by GP Investimentos, a leading alternative investment company in various countries, and GTIS, a leading real estate investment company in the Americas. In 2017, a significant agreement was made with Accorhotels, which began managing 17 BHG hotels under its own brands. In 2018, GTIS, already the largest shareholder of BHG, acquired GP Investments' stake and became the sole owner of the company. BHG's main strategy is to directly invest in hotel real estate assets and enhance their value through the expertise of their specialized teams in asset management, engineering, and investment. The company holds majority and minority stakes in 27 hotels, totaling 5,000 rooms, with 10 located in Rio de Janeiro, 3 in São Paulo, 4 in Curitiba and Porto Alegre, and 10 in the North/Northeast and Midwest regions.
