The company’s predecessor was Lu Thai Textile Company Limited, a Sino-foreign enterprise jointly established by Zibo No.7 Mill and Thai Rung Textile on October 18, 1988. In February 1993, with the approval of the former Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations and Trade, Lu Thai Textile Company Limited reorganized into a joint stock enterprise and accordingly the company was formally established. In order to enhance the sale and promotion of the Group's products to overseas markets, the company established branch offices in Shanghai, Beijing and Qingdao in March 1993, Septemeber1993 and July 1995, respectively. The company received ISO9002 certification in October 1995, the first textile manufacturer in Shandong Province. The company was listed on Shenzhen Stock Exchange on August 19, 1997 by issuing B shares. And on November 24, 2000 it issued A shares which were then listed on SSE on December 5, 2000. Lu Thai Textile Co., Ltd. is engaged in spinning, bleaching, dyeing, weaving, rear trimming and garments manufacturing. The company’s main products are yarn-dyed fabrics for shirts and shirts. The company also involves in manufacture and sale of cotton linters, Chinese herbal medicines, electric power and steam. It distributes its products in domestic and overseas markets, such as Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, southeast Asia, Europe and the Americas, among others. It supplies fabrics to many well-known brands in the world such as Brooks Brothers, Marks & Spencer, and Olimp.
