Maquinarias y Vehiculos S.A. is an Ecuadorian company that was established in November 1963, it is located in a large commercial centre in Guayaquil and is part of Grupo Mavesa together with Ecuatoriana de Motores Cía Ltda. It operates in 10 cities in the country and has more than 25 branches, which make it a leader in the Ecuadorian automobile industry. In the beginning the economic entity specialised in three business areas: agricultural equipment International Harvester; vehicles, spare parts and HINO service. At the moment it is primarily engaged in the import, distribution, purchase and sale of all class of property. It is dedicated to the import and sale of trucks, automobiles, assembly for vans and spare parts for the trucks and vehicles that it commercialises. The company has also implemented maintenance and repair workshops. The corporation offers a wide range of products from its Hino, Bridgestone, Citroën John Deere, Atlas Copco and Marangoni distribution lines. All of the lines are complemented by after-sales services for the heavy and light transport segments. The company has Specialized Hino and Citroën Workshops, Genuine Parts, Straightening and Painting Workshops, Service Centers for vehicles as well as a Reencauche Plant.
