Misr Hotels Co. S.A.E (Egypt)

Misr Hotels Co. is one of Egypt’s leading companies of the tourist and hotel industry. It was created in 1955. It became a subsidiary of the General Egyptian Organization for Tourism and Hotels in 1971 as a result of a government nationalization plan. In 1991 the ownership of Misr Hotels Co. was transferred to the Holding Company for Tourism, Hotels and Cinema. The company carries out tourist and hotel activities, including constructing, buying and selling, managing by itself or through third parties hotels, resorts, casinos and restaurants. In addition, it is engaged in contracting to utilize beaches, sea and Nile ports, diving and water sports clubs, entertainment sites and parks. It also carries out the urban development activities for the tourist sites. Currently, Misr Hotels owns and operates The Nile Ritz-Carlton Cairo hotel and Safir Dahab Resort Hotel in Sharm el Sheikh.
