Mongolia Energy Corporation Limited (Hong Kong SAR, China)

Mongolia Energy Corporation Limited (MEC) is a Hong Kong-listed company (HKEX: 00276) with operations in multiple locations. The company is primarily engaged in the development of mineral resources in western Mongolia, specifically the extraction of coking coal from the Tavan Tolgoi coal mine for export to China. MEC also operates a wholly-owned subsidiary in Mongolia called MoEnCo LLC, which focuses on the mining, beneficiation, transportation, and export of coking coal from the Tavan Tolgoi mine. This subsidiary is the largest enterprise in western Mongolia. Additionally, MEC has a wholly-owned subsidiary in China called Xinjiang Menco Energy Technology Co., Ltd., which imports coking coal from Mongolia, processes it, and sells it to Chinese customers. MEC is also involved in infrastructure development, as it is the investor and builder of the first long-distance secondary road in western Mongolia, facilitating the export of coal resources to Xinjiang, China.
