Calucem d.o.o. is a company located in Pula, Croatia. It was founded in 1925 and celebrated its 95-year anniversary in 2020. Calucem is a market leader in Calcium Aluminate Cements (CAC). The company was formed on July 1, 2006, after a spin-out of HeidelbergCement and with the investment of its first Private Equity investor, Mid Europa Partners. In October 2010, Calucem's operating assets were sold to ARGUS Capital Partners by Mid Europa Partners. Later, in July 2016, control of Calucem was acquired by the Italian private equity fund Ambienta SGR S.p.A. from ARGUS Capital Partners.
