Hrvatske Autoceste d.o.o. is a limited liability company located in Zagreb, Croatia. It was registered and began operations on April 11, 2001, as one of the two legal successors of the Croatian Road Administration. The company is 100% owned by the Republic of Croatia. The main purpose of Hrvatske Autoceste d.o.o. is to manage, construct, and maintain highways, excluding those managed by concessionaires, in accordance with the Road Act. The planning of highway construction and maintenance is carried out through various program planning documents. Long-term planning is done through the Development Strategy of Public Roads, which is adopted by the Croatian Parliament. Medium-term planning is done through four-year construction and maintenance programs of public roads, proposed by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Transport, and Infrastructure and approved by the Government of the Republic of Croatia. Annual planning is done through construction and maintenance plans, which are approved by the Government of the Republic of Croatia in consultation with Hrvatske Autoceste d.o.o. Hrvatske Autoceste d.o.o. is committed to continuously improving all its processes, as evidenced by its possession of certificates for quality management, environmental management, health and safety at work, road traffic safety, and anti-bribery management system.
