INGRA d.d. is a company located in Zagreb, Croatia. It was founded in 1955 as an export association for industrial manufacturers from the former Yugoslavia. Its main goal was to organize export activities and investment construction for these manufacturers worldwide. Since 1995, it has operated as a joint-stock company in accordance with Croatian regulations and is now fully privatized, with majority ownership by small shareholders. From the beginning, INGRA d.d. has been involved in investment projects both domestically and internationally, including large energy and industrial facilities. The company has also constructed major tourist complexes, hotels, hospitals, and other significant buildings using the "turnkey" system. Over the years, INGRA has successfully adapted to market demands and changes, responding to the needs of economic development in Croatia. In the mid-1990s, it participated in the reconstruction and revitalization of infrastructure and production damaged during the Croatian War of Independence. The company has been involved in the construction of highways, the largest construction and infrastructure project in the country, as well as building a telecommunications network for a new mobile operator in the domestic market. INGRA has also been involved in the restoration of tourist facilities in the Dubrovnik area that were destroyed during the war. In 2004, the company initiated residential construction projects in Croatia and simultaneously expanded its activities related to the tourism sector. During the early 2000s, INGRA undertook significant investment projects, including the largest Croatian public-private partnership project and the most impressive and complex construction endeavor in independent Croatia – the construction of the multi-purpose Arena Zagreb (2008). In the energy sector, the company highlights the construction of the Lešće Hydroelectric Power Plant (2010), the first hydroelectric power plant built in Croatia since its independence. In the residential construction segment, INGRA has built luxury residential buildings such as the villa complex in Srebrnjak (2009) and the residential-commercial building Dvori Lapad (2010). The company continues to work on major infrastructure projects and the connection of Croatia through highways. In 2013, as a partner in a consortium of Croatian companies, INGRA participated in the continuation of the construction of the A1 highway from Split to Ploče (Ravča – Ploče 1 section). Two years later, it was involved in the construction of a new section of the Zagreb – Sisak highway, the Jakuševac – Velika Gorica jug section, which is part of the Zagreb bypass road.
