Viro Tvornica Secera is a Croatian sugar factory set up in 1980. Initially it functioned within the local Virovitica Agroindustrial conglomerate. In 1991 the conglomerate ceased operations and the sugar producer became an independent business entity. Viro Tvornica Secera operates a factory with a daily capacity of sugar processing amounting to some 4000 tons of sugar beet. The company produces white sugar, pasteurized liquid sugar, molasses and dry briquette sugar beet chips. Viro cooperates with more than 500 domestic farms, farming cooperatives and big beet producers including Belje, Fermopromet, PP Orahovica, DIBA d.o.o. Suhopolje, PZ Cakovec and others. Viro’s largest domestic customers are Konzum, Podravka, Cedevita, Kras Zagreb, Mercator-H, Lidl and Billa.
