The company was established in 1999 and its owned by the German - Phoenix Pharmahandel GmbH & Co KG, a prescription drug wholesaler. Benu’s core business is chemists/pharmacists. It has a marginal presence in internet retailing
and there are no other interests. According to Hungarian regulations, chemist/pharmacist outlets are owned by the professional chemists themselves, and wholesalers own the franchise concept itself.
