13 jul - Plantaze AD is Podgorica-based wine and brandy producer. The company is a successor of Agroplant 13 Jul, which was set up in 1963 after the transformation of the Agricultural Industrial Plant (PIK). At the time of PIK’s establishment, the vineyard covered 226 ha of surface and the orchard covered 49 ha. Today 13 jul - Plantaze AD owns vineyards stretching on over 2,310 ha (23 km2) of land, covered with more than 11 million grapevines. They are located in the Cemovsko polje area, south of Podgorica.In 2007, 13 jul - Plantaze AD acquired the wine cellar Sipcanik for the amount of EUR 2 million. Sipcanik is situated 30 meters below surface on an area of 7,000 sq. m. with a capacity of over 2 million liters of wine.13 jul - Plantaze AD has an annual production capacity between 20,000 and 22,000 tons of wine and sells some 17 million bottles a year. The company exports its output to over 30 countries around the globe, with leaders being the foreign markets of the USA, Canada, the EU-countries, Russia, China and Australia. Plantaze is a holder of ISO and HACCP certificates.
