Empresa de Generacion Electrica Cahua, was established in 1995 with the purpose of engaging in the power generation activities through hydroelectric Cahua, Cock-blind, Arcata and Pariac. As a result of the merger between Electroandes S.A. with Electricity Generation Company Cahua S.A., the latter was absorbed by the first being closed in 2009.
