Union Bank of the Philippines (UBP) is a universal bank with a variety of banking services and was incorporated in 1968. UBP provides corporate cash management, payment services, consumer finance, foreign exchange, and capital markets in the Philippines. Other interests of the bank are insurance brokerage, pre need product marketing, and real property development.Meanwhile, UBP's total loans come from real estate, transport and manufacturing industries and the rest comes from financial intermediaries, wholesale and retail trade, and electricity. In 2006, UBP acquired shares of International Exchange Bank (iBank), a commercial bank. UnionBank is a partnership among the Aboitiz Group, Insular Life and Social Security System. The company's office is located in Pasig City.
