Universal Robina Corporation (URC) ventures into food manufacturing industry. Incorporated in the year 1954, URC's businesses are classified into three segments namely branded consumer foods, agro-industrial products and commodity food products. Branded consumer foods contribute around 75% of total revenues. These include snack foods, instant coffee, instant noodles, pasta, tomato-based products and others. The agro-industrial segment which contributed around 14% of the net sales has three divisions namely hog and poultry farming, animal feeds and animal health. Commodity food products include sugar and flour milling. URC has 17 branded consumer food plants, seven of which are outside the country. Carbonated and functional drinks (energy drink and fitness water) have been introduced to the market in 2006. While most of URC's raw materials are sourced locally. Others are imported such as tetra-pak packaging, wheat and skimmed milk powder. The company has its office located in Caloocan.
