Nord Systemy Napedowe Sp. z o.o. is a manufacturing company belonging to the Getriebebau NORD group NORD Drivesystems and operating a large electric motor factory in Wiechlice, within the Szprotawa subzone of the Walbrzych Special Economic Zone. Founded in 2017, the company manages the third global production plant for NORD electric motors, after facilities in China and Italy, located on a six hectare site with a production and logistics building of around 11,500 square metres, now undergoing further expansion to add significant additional production and warehouse space. The plant operations comprise several interlinked departments including assembly of single phase and three phase electric motors tailored to customer specific orders, a logistics department responsible for the efficient flow and storage of materials, a maintenance department ensuring continuity and optimisation of production processes, an in house winding department producing motor windings by manual winding techniques and modern lines for the production of stators. Since 2020 Nord Systemy Napedowe has been the only NORD plant producing and assembling synchronous motors in the high efficiency IE5 class as well as motor modules for the patented DuoDrive integrated gearmotor, positioning the factory as a centre of competence for advanced, energy efficient drive technology within the group. Electric motors manufactured in Wiechlice, combined with NORD gear units or supplied as standalone units, are shipped to a wide group of customers around the world and used in drive systems for intralogistics, food and beverage, bulk materials handling, wastewater treatment and other industrial applications. The company closely cooperates with NORD plants in Nowa Sol, Germany, Italy and China, integrating production planning and logistics on an international scale. Strategically Nord Systemy Napedowe is positioned as a key global production hub for NORD Drivesystems, focusing on high efficiency motor technologies, continuous expansion of production capacities, process optimisation and quality to support the group global growth in energy efficient drive systems.
