PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna S.A. (PGE S.A.) is a state-owned public power company and the largest electricity producer in Poland, listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange and a member of the WIG30 index. Established on 9 May 2007 through the merger of PSE, PGE Energia S.A. and BOT Górnictwo i Energetyka S.A., it is majority-owned by the Polish State Treasury. PGE operates generation, distribution and trading of electricity, fuels and CO₂ emission rights, and is investing heavily in wind, solar and grid infrastructure to achieve climate neutrality by 2050.
