The absence of a service and distribution company addressing the hospital medicine market only is seen in Turkey in the year 1977, and then the managers of NEVZAT PHARMACY DEPOT and SELÇUK PHARMACY DEPOT who were the most important medicine distributors in the pharmacy sector and at the same time most important two rivals in Turkey in that period and Mustafa Oğuz who was the accounting manager of Nevzat Pharmacy Depot reached a decision on the subject of establishing a specialized pharmacy depot in order to make distribution to the Hospital Market only following the difficult negotiations carried out for long months. ÖZ-SEL, which is the fruit of this decision taken, has completed its foundation transactions officially on the date 10th March 1977 and started its studies in the hospital market rapidly. ÖZ-SEL, which never interrupted its obligations towards its customers as forming its reason of existence, succeeded to reach a work volume exceeding 2500 tenders annually with more than 1000 hospitals as the state hospitals, university hospitals and the hospitals belonging to the other health institutions in Turkey thanks to its above-mentioned unique characteristic.
