The company was founded in April 1989 by Mr. Liu Laijin and Mr. Zhang Jingjin with the capital of $ 20 million, specializing in the manufacturing of direct current DC motors, variable speed controller and the IC board. In September 1989, it was expanded with Fengyuan No. 1 Plant and signed sales contract with Emerson from America. In 1995, it introduced circular saw and cooperated with RYOBI in producing "CRAFTSMAN" and "RYOBI" as agent manufacturer, and selling to RYOBI and SEARS. In 1997 it obtained the ISO9002 international certification. In 1999, it introduced IPO and cooperated with Black & Decker in producing as agent desktop electric sawmill branded "Black & Decker". In 2000, it obtained the world's largest manufacturer of power tools Black & Decker's production certification for its top brand "DEWALT" desktop electric circular saw sawmill. In November 2002, it went listed in stock market, and in March 2003 its shares went public. Woodworking machinery, belonging to power tools and positively related with GDP, accounts for 90 percent of its production revenues.
