History:
1958: Formerly known as Exploration Division 9 was established under the decision number 223/DC on September 1, 1958 of the Department of Geology - the Ministry of Industry.
1964: Renamed to Geology Division 9 on November 7, 1964.
1991: Renamed to Mining mineral and Geology Company by the decision number 609/NL-TCCBLD on December 13, 1991 of the Ministry of Energy.
1995: The Company officialy was member of the Vietnam Coal Corporation from January 1, 1995.
2003: Renamed to TKV - Mining Geology Company by the decision number 616/QD-HDQT on April 24, 2003 of Vietnam Coal Corporation.
2010: Renamed to Vinacomin - Mining Geology Company Limited on September 28, 2010.
2014: Renamed TKV - Mining Geology Company Limited by the decision number 2475/QD-TKV on November 19, 2014 of Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group-Vinacomin
2015: Renamed to Vinacomin - Mining Geology Joint Stock Company on October 6, 2015.
2016: The Company s shares were listed on Hanoi Upcom Securities Trading Center under the symbol MGC
