Thang Long Power Plant Joint Stock Company (Vietnam)

The subject is known as the investor, manager and operator of Thang Long thermal power plant. The initial target of this project was construction of thermal power plant with capacity of 50MW to supply for Thang Long Cement factory only. However, after that, the project was expanded following the permission of the governor. Accordingly, it is planning to supply power for customers throughout the EVN Group's electricity network. As the plan, within the year 2011, the subject would finish the plant. However, due to some delays, up to October 2014 the subject officially constructed the plant, and in 2018, it officially generated and traded electricity. According to Media Mass, the factory has design capacity of 600 MW and total investment capital of USD 900 million. After 5 years of operation, this factory had sold to the national grid with an output of about 16 billion kWh. In the first 6 months of 2023, this factory generated and sold to the national grid with an output of 1,679,398,000 kWh.
