Tong Cong Ty Viet Thang-Ctcp, also known as Viet Thang Corporation, is a joint stock company located in Ho Chi Minh municipality, Vietnam. The company was originally established in 1960 as Viet My Textile and Yarn Industry Company (VIMYTEX) and was later nationalized by the state in 1975. Over the years, the company underwent several reorganizations and name changes before being equitized and transformed into Viet Thang Textile Joint Stock Company in 2007. It is currently known as Viet Thang Corporation. Viet Thang Corporation is involved in various business lines, including the production and trading of cotton products, fibers, fabrics, and garments. They also trade machinery, equipment, spare parts, chemicals, and raw materials for the industry and construction sectors. Additionally, the company is engaged in civil and industrial construction, real estate business, installation of machinery and equipment, and goods transportation by car. The company operates several subordinate factories, including a Yarn Factory and a Textile Factory. It also has subsidiaries such as Viet Thang Garment Joint Stock Company and Binh An Textile and Garment NPL Joint Stock Company. Viet Phu Textile Co., Ltd. and Viet Thang-Luch I Company are among its affiliated companies. The Chairman of the Board of Directors is Mr. Le Tien Truong, and the General Director is Mr. Nguyen Quang Minh. Viet Thang Corporation has received various honors and awards, including Labor Medals, the Order of Independence, and Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister, Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, Ministry of Industry and Trade, and Vietnam Textile and Garment Group.
