The precursor of the subject was Doan 559 which was founded in 1959. Currently, the subject operates following the State-owned corporation model with 9 subsidiaries. The subject is also known as the 12th Army Corps belonging to the MINISTRY OF NATIONAL DEFENCE - SOCIALIST REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM. The subject is now specialized in the construction of roads, bridges, irrigation, Infrastructure, hydropower electric works, airports... Besides, it also participates in material testing and clearance of mines, bombs and explosives.The subject and its contractor consortium have performed many national key projects of highways, bridges, irrigation, airports, seaports.
