The company was founded in 1992. In the beginning it traded in farm machinery, equipment and raw materials. The business was soon expanded to include trade of food products-shops were opened in the towns of Pozarevac, Kostolac and later in Majdanpek and the neighboring villages got three grocery stores.
A slaughterhouse and then meat-processing plant, naturally followed the re-opened of the farm. Bearing that in mind, Union MZ also took over pig farms in Petrovac, Mustapic and Trnovce, with capacity of 50000 fattening pigs a year.
