Aguas Decima S.A. (Chile)

Aguas Decima S.A. is a closed anonymous society that was incorporated on July 1, 1994. Its majority shareholders were Chilquinta S.A. and Inmobiliaria El Almendral S.A. On January 12, 1995, the company began its operations after acquiring the sanitary concessions and assets from Essal S.A. in Valdivia. This date is considered the official anniversary of the company. From March 1995 to October 2006, the main shareholders were Agbar Chile S.A., a subsidiary of Aguas de Barcelona Spain, and Compañía Hispano Americana de Servicios S.A. On October 12, 2006, Aguas Decima came under the ownership of the Marubeni Corporation and Marubeni Chile Limitada holding company. The Japanese group's acquisition of one hundred percent of the shares made it the controlling entity of the company.
