The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited (Gas Company) was established in 1862 and is one of the oldest public utility organizations in Hong Kong. It is also one of the largest energy suppliers in the city, with world-class management and operations. The Gas Company has grown alongside Hong Kong, starting with supplying gas for street lighting and now leading the energy industry in Greater China. The company's success is attributed to its outstanding reputation built over the years, earning the trust of Hong Kong citizens. Currently, the Gas Company supplies gas to over 1.9 million customers and provides a diverse range of gas appliances and solutions to meet different customer needs. In recent years, the company has also expanded into telecommunications, building construction projects, emerging energy development, and applications, diversifying its business. In 1994, the Gas Company began its gas projects in mainland China. It currently has over 600 projects in mainland China, including smart energy, urban pipeline gas, upstream and midstream, water supply, urban waste resource utilization, natural gas refueling stations, and emerging environmental energy projects. Its business covers 28 provincial-level regions nationwide.
