Kutch Railway Company Limited (KRC) is a company located in Delhi. It was incorporated on January 22, 2004, under the Companies Act, 1956. KRC's main objective is to finance, construct, operate, maintain, and manage railway projects, specifically focusing on the gauge conversion of the Gandhidham-Palanpur meter gauge, which spans 301 kilometers. The project was executed with a total investment of Rs. 500 crore, consisting of Rs. 200 crore in equity from shareholders and Rs. 300 crore in debt from banks. KRC operates and maintains the rail line through Western Railway (WR) as their nominated operator. The Ministry of Railways has leased all the assets, including land, buildings, and bridges, on the Gandhidham-Palanpur line to KRC for a period of 32 years.
