United Credit Limited (UCL) is a company located in Kolkata. It was originally known as United India Credit and Development Company Limited (UCDCL) and later changed its name to United Credit Limited on January 1, 1981. The company is the successor to the former United Bank of India Limited (UBIL). After the nationalization of the banking sector, UBIL's assets and liabilities were transferred to UCDCL through a scheme of amalgamation approved by the Hon'ble High Court at Calcutta.
